Math in Russia

Uniform graduation examination (UGE) graduates of comprehensive schools should hand over all.

In what feature of this examination:
• result of examination is considered in the school certificate;
• result of examination also is considered at receipt in the majority of high schools of Russia;
• at examination the uniform scale of points and the same tasks on all territory of Russia is applied;
• examinations are spent in May-June of each year;
• spend examinations regional bodies of national education;
• tasks for examination are formed in Moscow, on the basis of competition of developers control and measuring materials;
• all tasks of examination are broken into 3 parts: simple, the raised difficulty and complex;
• quantity of tasks for each school subject can differ;
• tasks UGE happen 3 types: And - tests, with a choice of the answer (4 variants) are offered, In - tasks, with the answer in the form of an integer (to write down in the form only the answer) and With - complex tasks on which it is required to give the full, developed decision;
• correctness of the decision of tasks of type And and In is checked by a computer, and each task of group With is checked by two independent experts;
• validity of the certificate on delivery UGE - till December, 31st of current year

UGE and High schools

After delivery UGE each pupil receives the certificate with results of examination on 100 mark scale.
the entrant can send This certificate in a selection committee of its interesting High school. (It is necessary to find out in a selection committee - принимет it certificates UGE?).
It is possible to direct the certified copies of certificate UGE to some High schools.
the Selection committee of High school considers all the sent certificates UGE and spends competition. After that it is obliged to inform all entrants who have sent certificates UGE the decision - whether the entrant or not, on a budgetary or paid place will be accepted.
If the entrant has not passed on competition or itself has refused study in High school it will be obliged to pass examination UGE for next year anew.
not all However is far High schools of Russia accept results UGE. Some High schools accept main examinations in the traditional form of written or oral examination.

Procedure of carrying out UGE

Spends examination the State regional commission appointed by body of national education.
the Place of carrying out of examination - audiences of the selected High schools, base schools.
In an audience should be no more than 15 places, each pupil should work behind a separate table.
To control process of passing an examination is owed by 2 organizers, from among the teachers appointed by the commission.
At examination use of any additional materials is not supposed. At examination on the physicist and chemistry not programmed calculator is resolved.
If at examination there is something, stirring to the pupil it has the right to submit the appeal - upon termination of examination, not leaving from an audience.
